Indiana Young Farmers

Bridging the gap, telling our story

Has anyone every created a farm resume?  If so what would you include?  Do you pass them out, or just use them with current landlords?  Always looking for a way to be different without having to be the highest bid!

Hi Steve,

I know there are some folks using this. I also know that some producers have been successful with landlord newsletters to keep thier landlords informed on farm issues and have another "touch" beyond this quarter's payment. Great question and I look forward to some responses!
Chris,
We have done a farm newsletter and have had a great response from it! We send it to all of our neighbors as well as landlords. It has opened some lines of communication with them, especially with manure hauling.
I hear folks talk about sending it to neighbors and building the landlord relationship before its necessary as well as being a good neighbor. Its always good to have another "touch" point with landlords other than sending the rent checks which does little to build your relationship with them.
