
As political observers scramble to assess the impact of Senator Evan Bayh's decision not to seek re-election, the vice president for federal affairs at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce believes it's too early to tell what it could mean for business in the state. At 2pm today at the IUPUI Campus in Indianapolis, Evan Bayh will announce he will not seek re-election in November. The Democrats have until Friday to surface a new candidate to replace him on the November ballot.
